JOURNALIST – MESSI COULD JOIN BECKHAM’S SIDE

The majority of the focus on the coming summer transfer window could be on whether or not Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi will leave the Spanish club or not. The Argentine attacker has drawn a large chunk of speculation the entire season and there are serious questions about his long-term future at the Spanish club, including whether he will be playing at the Camp Nou ahead of next season.

Although he almost left the club last season at a point when he was accused of being part of the cause of Barcelona’s on-field problems behind the scenes, he eventually remained at the Camp Nou outfit after the club’s board members were a le to convince him that he had a binding contract with them that needed to be honored. However, as it stands, his future is still up in the air and there are still talks regarding whether or not he can still play for the club further than this season.

BECKHAM PREDICTS ENGLAND VS. ARGENTINA WC FINAL

England soccer legend David Beckham has backed the national team to reach the World Cup final. The MLS club owner is predicting that the Three Lions would meet La Albiceleste in the final in Russia 2018.

The former England skipper led the national team to the 2006 World Cup where they reached the last eight. Argentina, who have messed up several finals in recent times, were the finalists in 2014 inspired by Lionel Messi. Beckham feels they can still make this year’s final despite their poor showing in their first group fixture against Iceland. They play Croatia on Thursday before Nigeria next week.
