Inter Miami manager Phil Neville has revealed that one of the biggest reasons that attracted him to the managerial job at the Major League Soccer (MLS) is David Beckham and his quest to make Inter Miami renowned on the world football stage. An ageing David Beckham made a surprise move to French club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) during the 2013 winter transfer window. It was announced on January 31, 2013 that David Beckham would be having a medical at PSG ahead of his move to the club. He penned a five-month deal at PSG after passing his medicals and thereafter said that his salary would go to a local charity for children.
PSG fans had to wait for over three weeks to see David Beckham in action. He came off the substitutes bench for the final 14 minutes of the home clash with rivals Marseille in the French Ligue 1 to become the 400th player to represent the capital club. His PSG debut was on February 24, 2013. David Beckham won a fourth different league title as part of the PSG squad that won the French Ligue 1 title by beating Lyon 1-0 at the end of the 2012/13 season. MLS (Major League Soccer) giants LA Galaxy have confirmed that a statue of club legend Landon Donovanwill be unveiled and that he will be inducted into the LA Galaxy’s Ring of Honor on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Both the unveiling and induction will take place at Dignity Health Sports Park.
LA Galaxy revealed on their website that the Donovan statue will be unveiled at the Legends Plazasituated inside the Dignity Health Sports Park. The unveilingwill take place before the home derby match with LAFC on October 3 and the ceremony will be open to the public. During half-time of the aforementioned derby game, ex-Everton attacker Donovanwill be honoured and placed at the Ring of Honor alongside other club legends such as Doug Hamilton, David Beckham, Mauricio Cienfuegos and Cobi Jones.
