Toby Alderweireld to move to United

Former Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas believes that Toby Alderweireld will move to Manchester United during the January transfer window. He said that Toby Alderweireld is one of the best defenders in the world at the moment and that United will want to get him at a cheaper price.

Indeed Jose Mourinho was keen to sign the player during the transfer window but unfortunately for him, he could not finalize the deal. Jermaine Jenas believes that Manchester United was not willing to pay £60million for a player that they know that they can get at £25m.

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand also said that Toby Alderweireld is one of the best defenders in the Premier League and that he will be a useful asset to the team. He said that Manchester United has been struggling at the back for some time now and that he feels that the signing of such a player will add some much-needed steel at the back.

Jermaine Jenas said that Tottenham Hotspurs are in danger of losing their best players and that this could be a long season ahead. He said that all the teams around them have been strengthening and that they have remained the same. He said that it is most likely that the construction of the new stadium is affecting them financially and that they will have to sell players before they can make new signings.

Jermaine Jenas said that Tottenham Hotspurs are currently in the same situation as Arsenal a few years back and this could affect their capacity to sign world class players. He said that the objective of the team this season should be to qualify for the Champions League and he feels that they have the players to achieve that.
