England international Jesse Lingard produced the best months of his football career while he was on loan at West Ham United from Manchester United in the second half of last season and he decided to return to the club to fight for a place in the first team squad during the final year of his current contract with the Red Devils.

Lingard opted for a Manchester United return when the Hammers were keen on making him their player on the back of a successful loan spell. Since his return to the Theatre of Dreams from his loan spell at West Ham United this summer, Lingard has not been given much opportunities to show his numerous attacking qualities. Recently, it was revealed that the England national team player turned down the offer of a new deal amidst the interest from big European teams such as AC Milan and Barcelona.

All the Man U fans and the management were in a tense mood as Liverpool were at the top of the League table in the 2008-09 sessions. Liverpool defeated Man U with a result of 4-1 just before the match against Fulham. Just in the next match, they had to face a loss against Fulham as they thrashed the side of Sir Alex Ferguson 2-0.
